- Prepare the Tofu
- Cut the drained and pressed tofu into 2-inch triangles and set aside.
- Prepare the Coating
- In a bowl, mix together the cornstarch, panko, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and nutritional yeast.
- Season the Tofu
- Add the soy sauce to the tofu triangles and mix gently to coat evenly.
- Coat the Tofu
- Add the tofu to the bowl with the dry mixture. Shake or gently toss to coat each piece thoroughly.
- Cook the Tofu
- Heat the neutral oil in a heavy pan over medium heat.
- Fry the tofu in batches, flipping halfway through, for about 10 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.
- Place the cooked tofu on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve
